Question:
I end up with a white 2006 MacBook running OS X Tiger 10.4.11. I tried to erase the data from the hard drive and reinstall the operating system from the DVD we received because I bought a 2006 MacBook from Apple. I went into Disk Utility and erased, then when I rebooted, I pressed the “c” key and inserted the DVD into the drive. The choice of language presented itself, I made my choice, I just received the message “The software cannot be installed on this computer”, then I select “Boot from CD / DVD”.
When I select a bootable CD or DVD, I only see the DVD in the spthe lawsuit and then Network Boot. When I select DVD, I am asked to reboot. After rebooting and additionally starting the whole process … I can not boot from DVD.
Then I’ll finish, restart my computer and ignore “Welcome to OS X Installer and go to the resource option on the status bar. I will buy “Utility”. left. This indicates that it is being read / written and has been verified. I ran a test disk as a first aid – the disk is acceptable. I can also see the Blu-ray list.
I tried to launch Safe for Mood and I get a “Can’t find a driver for this ACPI platform” message on a black screen.
What should I do to reinstall my operating system ?? From now on I have a brick. Yes, it’s an old brick, but it works great for my job.
Thank you !!

I have a great white 2006 MacBook running OS X Tiger 10.4.11. I tried to erase the busy disk and reinstall the operating system from the special DVD that we received from Apple when we sold the MacBook in 2006. I went into Disk Utility and did an erase, then rebooted the “c” key on reboot and the installation DVD into the drive. A large selection of languages was displayed, I made a choice, then I found the message “The software cannot be installed on this computer”, then I chose to boot from the hard drive.
When I select the boot drive, I only see the DVD in the list and boot over the network. When I select DVD, I am asked to reboot. After rebooting and starting to process everything … I can not boot from DVD.
Then I finish, restart the move, select “Welcome to TechnoOS X Logic “and go to the” Utilities “option next to the status bar. I choose “Disk Utility”. On the left, I see a hard drive. drive completely. He says it is read / write and has been proven. As a last resort, I started the control disk – everything is fine with the hard disk. I could also see the DVD listed.
I just tried to boot safely, but the charcoal screen displays the message “Failed to get driver for this ACPI platform.”
What do I need to reinstall the operating system? From now on, I have an absolute brick. Yes, it is an old brick, even though it works great for what I need.
