Last week, some of our readers received an error code on how to avoid junk email in Outlook. Several factors can cause this problem. Let’s discuss this now.

To tag someone in Outlook.com, select messages in addition to the senders you want to block. On the larger toolbar, select Spam> Block (or Spam> Block).Select OK. The messages you specified will be deleted and all future voicemail messages will be blocked for your mailbox.
Change Spam Protection
The spam filter protection level is set by default – No automatic filtering. Can you make each filter more aggressive so that it handles more spam messages. The higher the level of protection, the more the problem is that some legitimate messages are identified as spam and are moved to the spam folder.
- Home
click> Remove Group> Junk Email> Junk Email Options.
-
Select the desired security level. p>
-
No automatic filtering. Even if this turns off the automatic spam filter, messages will still be reclassified based on the domain names and message addresses on your Blocked Senders List.
Note. If you want to turn off the spam filter, you must also get the names from the spam filter lists.
-
Low If you do not receive many orphaned messages, or simply want to filter messages with the most obvious quality, select this option.
-
High If you receive a lot of unwanted messages but do not want to restrict messages from senders to all of your safe lists, select this option. We recommend that you check your spam file from time to time to make sure that the message people are looking for has not been moved by mistake.
-
Safe lists only. This is the most rigorous method. Any message that is not from someone on your Safe Senders List or that is not intended for a mailing list on your Safe Senders List is classified as spam.
-
Just Remove Them!
You can tell Outlook to delete any suspicious junk messages rather than moving them to your Junk Email folder. This makes it impossible for you to view information for possible false positives. Therefore, be aware of most of the risks when using this option.
-
In the Mail app, click Start> Junk Email> Junk Email Options.
-
On the “Options” tablet, select the “Permanently delete suspicious spam” checkbox instead of toh to move it to your Junk Mail folder.
Important: Office 2007 is no longer supported. Update Microsoft 365 to work from anywhere, almost on your device, and keep getting support.
Change Spam Protection Level
By default, the spam filter is reversed and the protection level is set to “Low” – a setting designed to completely intercept the most obvious spam. You can adjust the actual sensitivity of the spam filter. Messages detected by the spam filter are actually moved to the spam folder. You can change any of these spam filtering settings for the protection you want.
-
On the Tools menu, click Options to open the Options dialog box.
-
In the dialog cost settings On the second Options window, under Email, click Junk Email to open the Junk Email Options dialog box.
-
Select the desired protection level:
-
No automatic filtering. Although Automatic Spam Filter is disabled, Outlook continues to evaluate messages based on domain names and email addresses in the Blocked Senders List, and continues to positively move messages from blocked senders to our own spam folder.
-
Low If you do not receive a lot of spam, or just want to filter out the most obvious spam, select this option.
-
High. If you receive a lot of junk mail, but never want to limit the number of messages a person sees to messages from senders on your current Safe Soo lists Messages, select this option. However, you should regularly check messages that have been moved to your junk mail folder as there may be legitimate emails.
-
Safe Lists Only If you receive a lot of email on the Internet, you can choose this option. Any email that is not sent by someone who is not on your Safe Senders List, or addressed to a mailing list on your Safe Senders List, is considered spam.
-
Note. Changing your own protection level only affects delivery accounts that deliver and store SMS messages on your computer. This includes all email sent to accounts that store personal folders (.pst), including POP3 and IMAP, and to Microsoft Exchange accounts that are configured to invest in the Exchange cache. Which mode are you using the offline folder file (.ost).
Delete Emails, Don’t Move Them To All Junk Mail Folders
-
On our own Tools menu, click Options to expand the Options dialog box.
-
On the Options tab of the Options dialog box, under Email, click Junk Email to open the Junk E-mail Options dialog box.
-
Select the “Permanently Delete Suspicious Spam” folder instead of moving them to this spam folder.
