You have the option to read 4KB from the beginning of the file, see if you have a delimiter, take the next 4KB, and repeat until you find the location you want. I think it might prevent you from downloading the full file.

What I was suggesting was just a natural way to work around failure back and forth rather than looking for a specific failure. They will start at the beginning, allowing the user to skip one error at a time, in addition to going to the beginning and end of the file.
