These are important filters for playing your video and audio content with DirectShow-themed media players such as Windows Media Player, Zoom Player or BS.Player.
DirectShow FilterPack can only play and decode audio and video files, and cannot be used to create encoded or multimedia files with this tool.
Unlike similar packages, FilterPack directshow does not come with an included media player and this does not cause conflicts between different codecs and displays.
All you have to do is install it on your computer and you can effectively play almost anything.

* Installation
– Unpack “DSFP-5.1.exe” to a realistic location. (For example, if you select only “C: Program Files”, all content will be expanded as “C: Program Files to Files DirectShow FilterPack”.)
– Browse to allow them to go to the directory where you just checked out the main content.
– Run “DSFP_inst.bat”. (In each subdirectory you will also find “install.bat” and “uninstall.bat” to uninstall or install each pool filter separately.)

Is it safe to download K-Lite Codec Pack?
I would recommend uninstalling both JetAudio Player and K-Lite codec pack and replacing them with VLC Media Player. It is not necessary to install a bunch of codecs. Actually, no, but the programs you have installed may be associated with other annoying and / or unnecessary software.
Important note: the additional filters mentioned above are not installed by defaultdefault. We also recommend that you do not use these legacy filters. They are usually only included for a small subset of people who have a reason to use them. We strongly recommend using the standard decoders provided. It is better.
Important note: all the add-ons included in Mega are only useful for a small group of people. It does not offer playback functionality for many other audio or video formats. If you are usually only interested in reading, a full copy is sufficient.
