The TestProgressListener class implements exactly the ProgressListener interface that our class needs to implement the update () method. This method uses three parameters again. The ProgressServlet mode allows us to display the progress of the current transmission in the browser window. It does this entirely by reading the testProgressListener object, most of which was inserted into the session using the TestServlet. It calls the getMessage () method of the to testProgressListener object and returns it in response.

When most of us start the application and reach the ProgressServlet, we see that the ProgressListener is currently NULL during the session as it has not yet been defined by the TestServlet.

The second thing I did was open a tab in my internet browser and open the upload.jsp file. I put a file over 500 megabytes in size called “BigFile.From mp3” on the small desktop as the first file on upload, and left the rest of the branches blank. I clicked the Download button in the Marketplace to download the file to the TestServlet.

When I go back to another tab that displays the ProgressServlet results and click the refresh button in any browser, I see that 23% of the download has been done a long time ago after the refresh.

After the last update, we will probably see that the download of the file is complete.
