If you have a hidden regedit, the guide below should help.
I am working with a new ownership system and am used to checking registrations again when registering or unregistering a new model. One of the most important places to look at this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE MICROSOFT WINDOWS CURRENTVERSION PROPERTYSYSTEM PROPERTYSCHEMA
is.
Can you search Regedit?
Regedit lets you practice searching a specific Windows registry. To access it, click the Edit menu and select Find. The search box lets you search for items in the Windows registry, including keys, values, and dates.
Interestingly, sometimes I lose access to the registry in Regedit. I can see this (note the lack, including PropertySchema):
How do I view registry keys?
Click Start or press the Windows key.On the Start menu, in the Run box, or in the search box, literally type regedit and press Enter. When prompted for User Account Control, click Yes to open the Registry Editor. The Windows Registry Editor window should probably open and look like the example below.
I know the schemas are saved because I can use their prop.exe sample application and the propschema SDK tool to describe them. Properties are available in Windows Explorer and Search.
How do I get full permissions in Regedit?
To open Registry Editor, click Start> Run> Type regedit.exe> Press Enter. In the left pane, right-click the section that requires authorization and select Permissions. Select a group or specify where to apply the permission. Select the Allow check box for the access levels of the actual group or username.
Also, I could very well use PowerShell to list the content related to this Hive:
C: Users carlton> cd hklm:HKLM: >C: Users carlton> cd hklm:HKLM: > Software CD MICROSOFT WINDOWS CURRENTVERSION PROPERTYSYSTEM PROPERTYSCHEMAHKLM: SOFTWARE MICROSOFT WINDOWS CURRENTVERSION PROPERTYSYSTEM PROPERTYSCHEMA> directory Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE MICROSOFT WINDOWS CURRENTVERSION PROPERTYSYSTEM PROPERTYSCHEMAProperty name---- --------0000 (default): C: Program Files Internet Explorer ie9props.propdesc Schema identifier. D9B5ABA1-5E8A-4902-B6A1-50B3C0311C2E URI like ie9props.propdesc Compact URI: 5376bae4b39f43768806afcb6b8ff5464bf9c989d1a819c6e6d99ba1e8ce25120001 (default): C: Program Files Microsoft Office Office14 Custom.propdesc Schema ID; 537AAAB1-1D85-48DC-A99E-16EB8C309FE5 URI. ... ... custom.propdesc Compact URI: 2e3be58e5cbbc0da093956b46a3905f11cf0f5bbf11987a8619e25f7261ee8be0002 (default): C: apps MSOffice Office14 VisioCustom.propdesc Chart ID 1.18503526-0466-4942-AC6E-41C1D380EABA URI: visiocustom.propdesc...
Anyway, I don’t quite understand how this happens and whether I should worry. Re-exporting the key from a colleague’s computer and importing it can also temporarily help, as it will no doubt show hidden / missing keys in regedit (even if they weren’t on my computer’s computer). New colleague).
