MSN Messenger existed from 2001 to about mid-2005 in versions 1.0 through 7.5. He then fell victim to Microsoft’s search for a new identity for the Windows Live brand.

Windows Live ID (also known as Passport) may have more temporary difficulties logging into your account.

Often, if you really wait a few minutes and try to reconnect, you will find that a difficult task has been solved. If you have done so or the problem persists for a long time, please take note of the following steps:

1. Be sure to save the work you know and then close any open windows on your desktop.

For Windows several hundred and Windows XP: Click the button in the lower left corner of the screen, start, then select Shut Down. After clicking the Shut Down button, you may often see one in the center of the LCD screen with a dropdown box asking where to start your computer. Select From, restart the list and just click OK.

For Windows Vista and Windows 2 – Click the Start button in the lower left corner of the entire screen. When the Start menu appears, click the pointer to the right of the Shut Down “and select Restart.

3. After restarting your computer, try logging into MSN again in File Explorer.

If you still get the same error message, try Internet Explorer settings.

1. Open Internet Explorer by double-clicking the Internet Explorer icon or selecting it from the Start menu. Then, at the top of the window, select Tools, Internet Options. Note. If the Tools menu never appears, press the Alt key.

2. Click this website for instructions on how to remove temporary computer files and cookies from the Internet.

3. Select the Home Watch tab and click the Internet (globe) icon. Then, if possible, click the Default Level button (sometimes this particular button is not available; this is normal).

4. Select local intranet, then icon, look at the “Default Level” button if you like (sometimes this button is also grayed out; as soon as it becomes normal).

5. Select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Restore Defaults” button (in Internet Explorer 7 and 6 this button is called “Restore Advanced Settings”). When finished, click OK and try logging into MSN Explorer after further steps.

Still unable to login? There might be something wrong with your awesome computer’s firewall.

1. In the lower right corner of the screen, next to the clock, find the usual firewall icons. For example, McAfee®® users may see they are simply typing the red letter “M”. Norton® users may see a yellow circle with a signature. Try hovering your cursor over each character. When you have done that, a seller description will appear, which will tell you what each of the most popular stands for.

2. Right-click the icon to create any firewall software you can find. If you see Disable or Quit, click it. When the word “Enabled” appears in its entirety with a check mark in front of it, click the “Compare” checkbox to remove it. You can also refer to the documentation that came with your firewall to find out how to stop it.

4. If youfound and blocked the firewall software in Two, it needs to be turned on again. Right-click the firewall software icon again and select Enable, or click in front of Enabled to check the box. See your software firewall documentation for instructions on how to turn it back on.
