I just installed PC-Doctor from Lenovo/IBM website on my ThinkPad X24, WinXP.

The interface is in Chinese, although I never asked for an absolute language setting, probably supposed that the Chinese language pack is installed somewhere. Although my wife reads Chinese, I don’t like it and it doesn’t help much.

How can I change this?

I was digging through the registry entries for PC – Doctor and found the setting “NSIS :Language” but it’s 1033, which shows “American English” on the small box office, so no thrills.

Our software is written in a foreign language due to regional settings, but it may be software the software you downloaded, such as localized Chinese.

If your software is not localized, you can have some fun and change the locale to different languages just to see what it looks like. However, if your software is locally in Chinese, you need to download the English version.

Our software is locale dependent, but software you download may be localized to Chinese.

Check your language and make sure it is set to English (United States). If your software is not localized, you can have fun and extend the locale specifically for different languages to see what it looks like. However, if your software is localized to Chinese, you will need to download the English version.

I’m using the English locale. The taskbar has an “EN” button, and everything else shows a menu in English.

I’ve given you the URLs of the page it’s linked to, and often the exact file I downloaded. So, you can tell me what it is. Lenovo

Message says “Applicable countries and regions: Worldwide”.
Not “China”.
Information file ( ftp:// ftp . software.ibm.com/pc /pccbbs/thinkcentre_software/pcd5setup_4329.txt) is written in English and does not mention any language. So the installer decides that I want the Chinese version?

Had to work hard to download a 39 MB file, then install it and think it was useless. I would be grateful if you could tell me personally howto change it in the market (although English doesn’t seem to be able to do that) or where to get the English version.

I know what the experts say, it’s probably Lenovo’s fault, but I think the only way to force someone to answer or be nice is to close null.

Ok, I downloaded and installed the folder. This is yours without any locale. Even if EN is displayed on the taskbar, do the following and then start PC-Doctor.

1. Select Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. In Classic View, find Regional and Regional Options
In or Category View, select Date, Time, Language and Regional Options, then select Select Regional and Language Options
4. Select the “Regional Options” tab
5. In the “Standards and Formats” section, click the drop-down list and select “English (S. A)”. Language settings of PC-Doctor.
6. Now configure PC-Doctor (you will need to restart PC-Doctor for the settings to take effect, keep in mind that this is not done on the fly.)

Is Spyware Doctor safe?

Spyware Doctor does not include a Anti-virus protection, so it should not be considered as a replacement for an anti-virus program or a complete Internet security package.

Earlier “Standards and/or formats” was “English (Australian)”, but turned out to be “Hong Kong”. I moved from top 2 to America/USA. PC Doctor is still Chinese.
