HOW TO LOAD Motion JPEG Codec:
Hello,
I get the question Do you know about the free DirectShow codec? The only mjpeg I’ve seen is far from FFDShow, but very slow. It’s 90% CPU usage on my Athlon (full 2000+ PAL). I was able to get X 768 576 25fps with PicVideo Auf mjpeg on my old personal Duron 600MHz. First, there is a big performance difference. Why? Normal land in calculations that encoder FFDShow MJPEG 20040405) (version so slow? Is there currently something faster that could be used for 1 GHz processors or even slower information? Thanks Vlad

Free picvideo codec. Currently you have to pay for this, but adapt it.
Not free, but almost….$9.95 From us, Leadtools, this is the fastest mjpeg I’ve ever tried. The demo puts very small watermarks on and around the edges from top to bottom. Can you just cut them but it’s up to you, it costs $9.95.
Lots of other goodies on the site. www.leadtools.com
rfmmars: Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
bb: I kind of knew about it, but unfortunately they didn’t offer it for a few years.
boyer98: Did I mention that? recent versions of FFDShow by and therefore FFVfW have been merged so that we were talking about the same MJPEG. By the way, I already mentioned that peak video can be 5 times slower.
I was just hoping someone else had created a DirectShow codec with code, the original maybe MJPEG, originally from Tools for Linux. But doesn’t it look like. Do you have or have another great idea for a “near lossless” codec for video? recordings But with more efficient compression than lossless codecs such as HuffYUV. Thank you Vlad
PS I want to write a very detailed TV capture guide and only use this guide with free software or even the best open source software. I’m just missing the MJPEG codec. I use computer ATV2000 (MJPEG) -> BeSweet Wizard, VDubMod (XviD) -> Mkvtoolnix avisynth or -> QuEnc -> GUI dvdauthor.
Are there any of these codecs that are commonly compared to the MJPEG codec?
(PicVideo, Morgan, LeadTools, ffvfw/dshow, forgot?!?)
You don’t really need a benchmark, Leadtools MJPEG can be fine tuned to create large high quality videos/files or vice versa…

As far as I know it’s not a VfW codec, but it uses a specific file format, not just AVI, and seems to support Linux. And it’s only available through crappy 3D downloads, which means your requests are queued and now you have to wait 6 minutes before you can actually start downloading. All other affiliate links do not work (at least mine).
As far as I know, you can achieve the best quality of the shooting codec
using DV (some are used for free, like MS or Panasonic which are the same?).
DV is often the successor to MJPEG – the only downside is that you couldn’t
