Philips DVD750VR Progressive Scan Combo DVD VCR
Watch full-length films from VHS tape or progressive DVD in the highest quality, watch slideshows with digital images, listen to audio from CDs with Crystal-Clear Listen or listen to MP3 CDs through your living room speakers, all from an affordable compact device. The Philips DVD750VR lets you occasionally record Hi-Fi audio in stereo and watch it on your camcorder or play on your game console through the convenient front-panel audio/video inputs. The Picture CD functionality consists of single reading and image enlargement. Whether you currently have a great HDTV in your living room at home or you just plan to get to work “one day”, the DVD750VR is ready to give you the full potential of DVD. Progressive scan, known as 480p for its number of horizontal lines, symbolizes video by producing an image with twice the number of scan lines as a normal DVD image, demonstrating moreHigher resolution and image clarity, eliminating almost all motion artifacts. p The DVD750VR also performs 3:2 conversion. A DVD trying to learn one introduces the usual distortion when setting all-day movies and fps movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 decompression digitally corrects this distortion by removing redundant new information to display accurate photographs. Shared S-Video and DVD/VCR composite video outputs can be used for compatibility with virtually any TV. p A set of left/right analog audio outputs sends channel noise to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo TVs. Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 channel audio signals can be passed through most coaxial digital audio signals from the player to create a direct hyperlink to a full audio/video receiver. If your area doesn’t have a surround receiver and/or a six-channel speaker system, you can still make every movie night unforgettable: 3D sounds simulate surround sound for two people (eventhrough the TV’s stereo speakers). The four-head VCR design ensures optimized slow motion (forward and reverse) and still image clarity, and with Hi-Fi sound, the system records and plays back stereo sound tunes. SQPB (Quasi-S-VHS Playback) lets you view S-VHS tapes, which normally require a dedicated S-VHS VCR, in standard VHS definition.
