    The method that worked for me was to implement the VBCTRLS.REG file on the installation CD (common / tools / VB / controls). He registered the check. I fixed the error and was able to run the program from the IDE

    I just suffered from the legacy of the musical code. The problem seems to be related to the controls previously defined in vb6. The hard drive was not immediately available, then I dug around a bit and created an executable file that you can download from microsoft.com anywhere.

    • Unregister virtually all of your Threed32.ocx if you are registered in the United States.many.

    • Save Threed32.ocx in the sys32 directory.

    • . executeVBCTRLS.REG (sometimes it can be in sys32, sometimes it will be a gamegenerally / tools / VB / controls)

    After looking at this question and trying all the answers without success, I thought I was getting some additional information that solves the problem for me.

    The issue appears to be successfully related to an optional update for Windows 7. A colleague who was running an easily available updated version of the operating system insisted that our VB6 projects are performing better, but my new computer with a recent installation Win7 had such a problem.

    • Find regtlibv12.exe (usually in C: Windows Microsoft.NET Framework [version] .. ex C: Windows Microsoft.NET Framework v4.0.30319 if you have it installed)

    • Run got command prompt as administrator and go to file location

    • Run regtlibv12.exe C: Windows SysWOW64 msdatsrc.tlb for 64-bit windows

    • Run regtlibv12.exe C: Windows System32 msdatsrc.tlb for 32-bit windows.

    The error went away, but my old programs now loaded the ThreeD panel and worked fine.
