In this guide, we are going to find out some of the possible causes that can cause the BIOS of a new hard drive to freeze, and after that, we will suggest possible solutions for this problem.
After successfully using and installing 3 Windows XP on the same partition one by one (don’t ask why …) I restarted my computer and this BIOS just froze when the card was loaded.
Together with my uncle, we investigated the problem and found out what kind of hard drive it was.
We tried to boot the hard drive and it worked! (No other type of hard drive (I only have one) with an Ubuntu Live CD.)
We tried using a hard drive with a specific data bus (this was a specific computer), but this one did not allow the BIOS to recognize the hard drive.
We also have to move the hard drive to another computer because of the second hard drive and it was recognized, but Windows XP always stated that it could not install the driver and installed it successfully. Luckily, I was able to save some of my most essential files on this other computer.
Below is usually a list of the tests we run.
-
With hard disk
Original data bus
Original computer
Result: BIOS freezes -
WITHOUT extreme dynamism
Original data bus
Original computer
Result: everything works well! -
With a reader
ANOTHER bus with hard content
Original computer
Result: unable to see the physical call -
With hard disk
Original data bus
ANOTHER computer
Result: it worked! -
With a reader
ANOTHER Eager Data Bus
ANOTHER computer
Result: it worked!
In the respective tests, we only had two data buses and two computers. (each mci data trainer from their computer)
The weird thing is that the second data bus does not allow your BIOS to see the hard drives of all my computers, but it works fine with another computer.
The funny thing is that the electronic computer does not recognize the hard drive, and especially the drive from which it does not start.

I have the most important data on this fragile drive and now I really can’t afford to buy another decent IDE hard drive!
Please do not use Necro and / or Hijack themes. Your best bet is to open your own branch.
mailak:
I have exactly the same problem on 2 hard drives n Each because of the FreeBSD installation!
Both hard drives worked fine with the entire partition prior to installing FreeBSD.
I am using MS-7181 10.
Clearing CMOS, disabling hard drive booting helps, and unfortunately I have no way to format another hard drive on my computer.
Updating the BIOS from 1.1 to 3.1 and clearing the CMOS did not help at startup, and after detecting a hard drive, it crashes every time one of these 9 hard drives is connected
The only alternative that helps is to either disable this hard drive in addition to enabling IDE1 in the BIOS (before disabling items)
I’m 100% sure the reason is the FreeBSD installation …
Please help

But no, formatting the object will not result in the loss of the BIOS, two problems are related to physically different systems. Turn on your computer and even restart it. When the screen is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu. Press any F9 key to reset BIOS to current default settings.
In some cases, changing BIOS settings can cause serious problems and freeze a specific system. The processor or RAM in an overclocking system is causing instability issues. If this is the case and the system freezes badly, reset the BIOS settings to default values.
Eliminate all causes of the BIOS error message that you see on the monitor.Disconnect all USB storage devices and remove all optical drives.Clear CMOS.Check your diet.Reinstall everything on your computer.
