A third party adware program called T.V. carry. This is the media installed on your computer. (TVMedia is owned by Total Velocity Corporation.) To prevent Windows XP SP2 from crashing due to Windows Update or Automatic Updates, we have blocked Windows XP SP2 from loading on PCs that have TV Media installed unless the critical update 885523 is also installed.

If you’ve always used XP Windows SP2, you probably won’t see XP Windows SP2 on the Windows Update website.
If you are not sure if you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), click Start, Run, type winver and click OK. Look for the words “Service Pack 2” at the end of the line starting with “Version 5.1”.

Check to see if Windows XP SP2 could be installed from Windows Update or Automatic Updates. We have blocked Windows XP SP2 from loading on computers with TV Media installed until TV Media is removed. Installing the patch will fix the problem.
If you want to install Windows XP SP2, you either need to completely remove TV Media from your solution or install update 885523. The easiest way to find TV Media Removal is to uninstall T. adware.V. Multimedia Removal Tool (KB 886590) that removes TV programs. After uninstalling your TV or installing Update 885523, XP Windows SP2 can be configured through Windows Update or Automatic Updates. If your computer has an Intel Pentium 4 or Intel Celeron D processor based on Prescott step C-0 and the critical update 885626 is not yet installed, Windows Update simply does not prompt you to download XP Windows SP2. Microsoft and Intel have released an updated processor driver that prevents this well-known bug. We recommend that you install the critical update and 885626. Check your system again for Windows Update to install Windows XP SP2.
Click Start, click Run, type msinfo32, and then press Enter to see if your computer did it with the previously mentioned processor. Look at the line that starts with Processor in the right pane of the System Information window. If this processor is disabled on your computer, MSInfo32 will display the following text:
