If you have the Windows Media Player 11 codec for AVI files on your system, this user guide should help you fix that.

Avi is not really a codec or file style. This is a container format … which means the avi file is probably usingany codec. Certain codecs are certainly not integrated into WMP, and Microsoft won’t be able to integrate them either. (usually for some reason)
It is enough to install the codec packs. Legal Herbal Incense Buds have always used the codec packages from http://www.free-codecs.com/ (a codec-k-lite package should be provided for each of your needs) and it worked for me and my colleagues. Of course, VLC will do too! 😉
When creating video files, they can be compressed to the size of a shoulder joint file using a huge program (or compressor) that is always installed on the developer’s computer. If you play a video file frequently, your computer should have a good decompressor installed that can play various compression formats. This program is called a codec.
If you are trying to play your own file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, I would say that Windows Media Player is trying to download that particular codec from Microsoft’s server. If a codec is available, Windows Media Player will install it on your computer and then play it File. However, if the codec may not be available on the server (for example, because the codec was not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player will display a real message stating that there is almost no codec on your computer on your system.
In some cases, the file being played uses a codec that is not available or compatible with your Windows Media Player. If this happens, your entire family may not be able to use Windows Media Player to play a specific .avi file.
To solve this problem yourself, find and download the required codec.
Before starting, always find out which version of Windows is installed on your computer or laptop. To determine which Windows variant you have installed. Visit the following Microsoft website to make sure you’re signed in to Windows with an account that is an excellent IT administrator:

After confirming the version of Windows Med Player you are usingia, go to the section required for your operating system and version of Windows Media Player.
Note. If you are using a Windows Media Player package other than earlier than 6.4, see “Previous Windows Media Player Favorites” in the “General Next Steps” section for help>
For some problems, the error message in Windows Media Player contains information on the list of required codecs. The error message probably also includes a link that you can sometimes click to download the codec file. So to fix the problem, read the .avi file and check the error in the Windows Media Player phone message for help.

Click Help for on-screen information about the missing codec and a link to it if the codec is available for download.
Note. If a link for these codecs is not available, search for that codec on the mainnet to see where it is available. If you were unable to determine whichcodec to use, you cannot find it, the codec may not be available. Or, it may not be compatible with Windows Media Player. Therefore, you may not need Windows Media Player to play a specific .avi file. Some
In some cases, the error word in Windows Media Player provides information about the required codec file. The error message may also contain a trust link that you can click to download the codec file. So, to fix the problem, read the .avi file and check the error in Windows Media Player for a help message.
Click on the web help to view the contents of the missing codec and a link if the codec is available so that you can download it.
Note. If the link for the current codec is not available, search the Internet for that codec to find it, if available. If you can’t confirm which codec to use, or if someone can’t find it, the codec may not be available. Or, it may become incompatible with Windows Media Player. Hence, you cannot use nWindows Media Player to play this explicit .avi file.
In some cases, the error response includes an identifier, a codec known as the FourCC identifier. You can use FourCC to find the manufacturer of the codec. Then see if you can get the codec you want from the manufacturer.
If you get an error, look for the fourcc id. If there is a fourcc ID, write it down. Note that characters following “vids:” or “vidc:” can be a unique FourCC identifier, which you could certainly use to find the codec in this tutorial for a specific .avi file.
For example, if the entire string is “vids: vcr2”, then “vcr2” is the FourCC identifier.
Note. If the FourCC ID is not listed in the error message, unfortunately families cannot use Windows Media Player to edit that particular .avi file.
Use the FourCC ID to find the manufacturer who created the codec. In the example from step 3, your FourCC ID was “vcr2”. So look for “vcr2” in the FOURCC column to take into account the codec and manufacturer. In thatIn the exercise, you will notice that “ATI Video Codec Is 2” is listed as the codec name and “ATI Technologies” is listed as the owner (or manufacturer).
If you cannot find a codec or manufacturer listed, someone might try to search the internet for the codec and manufacturer using our own fourcc ID.
Note. Please note that not all manufacturers provide their codecs for download. If you can’t get the base codec from the manufacturer, you won’t be able to use Windows Media Player to play this .avi file.

I found that the absence of a charge for the Microsoft Video 1 codec ensures the highest quality for AVI. Unfortunately, this helps to make the AVI video much larger.
If you are using Windows, just double-click the file to play it in Windows Media Player. If for some reason that doesn’t work, perhaps right-click the file, hover over the main Open With menu, and then click Windows Media Player or any other supported application you prefer.
Windows Media Player should play AVI files without paying. If you don’t care about controlling Windows Media Player, installing VLC is an especially good idea as there is no need to install any split codecs: that’s because all you need to play AVI, MKV, MP4, WMV, MPEG-2 and others, and can also stream video from the internet without any problem.
