If you have the Yum Research engine installed on your computer, this article may help you.

Note: use kernel yum list to get a list of all installed and available kernels. To find out which kernel is running, use the new uname command. The -r option displays only the kernel version and version, while most of the -a option displays the kernel version along with additional information.

Yum Lists All Open Kernel Updates, Not Just The Latest
I am developing a CentOS 7 machine that has the main kernel 3.10.0-123.el7 installed.
When I search for new kernels sold for download, I get:
command i am running: yum list –showduplicates kernel // command i am currently running
output:
Installed packages
kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-123.el7 @anaconda
Available packages
kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-693.el7 base
Kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-693.1.1.el7 Updates
Kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-693.2.1.el7 Updates
Kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-693.2.2.el7 Updates
Kernel.x86_64 3.10.0-693.5.2.el7 Updates
I know there may be additional kernel versions available, for example: 3.10.0-229, 3.10.0-327 ..
How to withdraw 693? the newest, but I feel like I need it all.
Is it worth it to positively add yum to the repositories? Can I add these repositories right away?
After adding the repos, I can get any of the 229, 327, etc. kernels, but I need to create my own CentOS.repo with base urls as baseurl = http: //vault.centos.org/7.0.1406 / os /. Source / …
Is there a way to avoid manually adding the repositories? Can’t I configure yum to use many of the available Centos repositories?

However, as Trevor pointed out, the wishes of users would rarelyare good. Even a few people think that they need – they want the best quality of the form.
yum has a –enablerepo = parameter to temporarily activate the repository.
yum-config-manager --permit

Hello! /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Vault.repo is empty.
[root @ CentOS70 ilan] # kitty /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Vault.repo
# Currently reserved space
# CentOS #
# Vault offers RPM packages from older CentOS-7 versions
# Wood.
#
# Currently 7 in version 1.0.1406, most of them don’t have an older version
[root @ CentOS70 ilan] #
I need older kernels because the module I’m writing needs to be compiled on those kernels. We have to put up with these cores. I’m not your CIO Alt = “:)”

Re: A Delightful List Of All Available And Most Recent Kernel Updates
You should only observe how ELRepo builds your kernel modules, as these kernel updates always exist, except at release time when the kernel ABI changes. So you can limit it to one style per dot version (or by mistake abi until HR improves!).

In other words, you applied then and no updates since the release of CentOS 7.
When all your clients are using CentOS 7 and they have no excuse for anything other than the latest kernel. As you stated, this is their problem.
If you are using RHEL 7, you can downgrade. I’m not sure if Red Hat will release any kernel updates that I bringt benefit paying customers. If so, and after that you still don’t have access to all your own kernels, and probably your only option would be, as Trevor said, making kernel modules independent of the ELRepo version and you would expect them to work with the unavailable Popcorn kernels.

I start with a completely revamped CentOS and then look at what old corn kernels I can compile in that environment. Alternatively / additionally, you create one instance for each older perk update i.e. 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 7. With any three updates you may receive.
