Hello Liadpaz
there are some old and new topics to understand (including the Windows solution). The firewall application is supposed to be running instead of sending / receiving packets to the main Nir server. The socket error is similar to our language / voice and cannot be inferred.
Well done

I don’t think it has to do with the firewall. Even if I turn off Windows software, I get the same connection error.
Error message. just state that

Error message. simply states that it (slsk) cannot be configured – your server is nir (socket). There are several possible reasons (connection problems): due to the use of ISP blocks (SLSK uses a specific and easily recognizable local protocol), application firewalls, specific Windows firewalls and routers (too smart). It mostly comes down to computer related issues and not ISP / router issues. Without logging in the server logs (nirs) or in the router trace (which packets are sent and how many are returned), it is difficult to determine exactly. Recommendations “Switch to Linux / OSX” or Wireshark “run and run a full network scan until you receive your message” and send it to anyone who wants to scan your local network is quite simple, but it’s mostly Catch-22. “. There are usually several methods in streams; maybe Liadpaz has found all the tools?!
Well done

Hello,
As stated, liadpaz may have other complications than your djchiwawa. Have you practically tried a different route? ISP UMTS helps a lot. If there is any doubt (only Nir can say) the server blocks your IP address (because the IP address with 1 instance of SLSK or something else is used twice) or even your entire range of IP addresses than other internet -provider (just because the tests help). Have you tried the specific version with a different user profile? Have you considered doing this on another computer (SLSK comes in handy by portable copying the SLSKqt folder). You passed the correct nlagging (with a direct connection (for example, me and this UMTS here), this is not applicable). I would say turn on extended logging and see the exact “server” diagnostic log. Did you use a different username / password to login?
Well done
Block IP?

Really? this is happening, why is soulseek blocking ip when i use second instance? I have definitely done and tried both NS and QT. How can I opt out of this option? I even tried many users.
simple

fair
NS combined with QT are different between servers and therefore do not conflict. The blocking does not happen instantaneously and is more flood-proof if I understand the explanation correctly (many refer to previous discussions; possibly an additional year). This is just ONE way to use a long chain. Anyway, I had an app firewall (which could kill app A but let app B do the same; BlackICE or ZoneAlarm and and and and and and) did the job. Your ISP is of course authorized / capable.
Only Nir could drop blocks, but until you tried to use two configurable blocks behind the router to access the identical SLSK server, it didn’t! Have you tried using Nicotine + in the same situations and / or with a different user profile (login with a different account on your computer)?
shit! it works

In truth, IP blocking is collected and then persisted until Nir resets the blacklist, butyou will almost certainly get a new IP address if you need to restart your router or switch directly to Inet Connect. Only modems are usually directly converted from analog (DSL) to digital (Ethernet) (OSI layer 0 or potential 1 conversion) and do not appear in IP traffic.
Well done
completely impossible, otherwise

Soulseek only turns out to be illegal if users violate their policy of not using it to share or possibly receive copyrighted files, right? Right. Most things are not illegal until you bring them with you for illegal purposes. soulseek is a very clean client and is also used by many moviegoers, especially those whose tastes lead to more obscure performers. It’s a little buggy, but absolutely no spyware / adware and the like, if you’re worried. Open Soulseek, go to the options menu and go to general options. You should see the Listening Port section: Slsk (short for Soulseek) will pick a random port, but anyone can change it to any port. There is a dedicated button next to this field that says “Check Firewall and Hub Settings”.
