I am trying to reduce my disk space usage and decided to stop using Rainmeter for my date / time and am now actively using “gadgets” and looking for compatible solutions instead of Windows 7. Don’t get me wrong, Rainmeter is the best application, but I already use several desktops. gadgets for which I have not found a suitable replacement for Rainmeter.
One gadget I recently used is the Now Playing gadget I found here (bundled with the necessary Winamp plugin that requires manual installation).

One problem I noticed is that the track name for the tracks is not displayed and the ID3 tag is also missing. The widget will no doubt just jump to the “Read folder in Winamp” message.
