Over the past week, some of our readers have encountered a Quickpar Reed Solomon error code. Several factors can cause this problem. We will talk about this below.
Approved: Fortect
QuickPar is a special computer program that uses the Reed-Solomon error correction algorithm to check the integrity of a file or group of files. It is often used to recover files, many of which were downloaded from Usenet.
I have rar both multi-page sets that got missing files received via NL for each type of cyclic entries.
I finished RnE and ran QuickPar against the Par installed. Quickpar spotted the missing file so well, but when I said it needed to be fixed, it returned “Errorand the Reed-Solomon formulas ”and did not even try to go further. I think there is an element in the set that slows down the reconstruction, but NL is not very careful about that. This is probably a critical case, but it still needs something to catch it, or maybe some control over the RnE iteration counter needs to be established, which absolutely fixes the file, because it processes everything. The rest of strategy A. So far nothing has been downloaded, the update was in progress (I think RnE / NL assumed it didn’t have enough bits to recover, so I tried to get more d / l coins but ended up? Are there many coins?)

What could a QuickPar be? | above |
QuickPar is a utility for creating parity volumes using the Reed-Solomon algorithm. Details of the algorithm used can be found on the specific SourceForge archive website. Parity volumes can be used to accurately check who has files that have not been corrupted for a long time, or to repair corrupted formats (provided that you have enough parity volumes to find missing ones, including damaged files corresponding to the marked files). QuickPar uses the PAR specification version 2.0. Here you can understand the differences between PAR 1.0 and even PAR 2.0. |
