Configuring MTU In Windows 2008 R2
Change The Default MTU Setting Of Windows 2008 R2
1. The first thing we need to do is figure out which MTU needs to be set correctly. We have no idea that it will probably be disabled. As an example, I want to find the optimal MTU when visiting this particular internet. I open inspire ping and www.google.com with the following fuses: -f indicates which ping is definitely beforeis false to fragment the packet, and -l with a packet size of 1500 or less. The key here is to determine the closest packet size on the market before the packet needs to be fragmented, and this is how we want to determine the MTU now.
In the image of the person below, you can see which ping from Google for a 1465 byte packet will result in packet fragmentation, but a Google ping for 1464 will not fragment the packet. Therefore, the optimal MTU for my Windows R2 2009 server en route to peace is 1464.
