By doing this against each other, you can cut out the middle of the hidden text garbage completely, and also use the entire middle of the hidden text block. For example, suppose the subform’s RecordSource property is a query named MyQuery, and the subform’s LinkMasterFields and LinkChildFields properties workt, respectively. MyID, which is a large amount of data, is the Controlsource property of the textbox:

= DCount (“*”, “MyQuery”, “MyID = Inch & Nz (My [ID], 0))

If the MyID columns refer to data of type Text, they will be:

= DCount (“*”, “MyQuery”, “MyID =” “” & [MyID] & “” “”)
