My forum for a start, I hope everything works out …
My nephew plugged his MP3 player into a USB drive and after this Windows boot screen this error comes up …
STOP: Image C0000221 [Invalid checksum] because the image of comdlg32.dll may be corrupted. the header checksum does not match the damaged checksum.
I tried to get a license online, but since I’m not very computer savvy, I really need dumb instructions.Any help is appreciated.

According to Microsoft, the error occurs because the application has created an operating system I myself and undoubtedly replaced the missing or damaged file with my own application.
Use this link to save the damaged file. It will download to your desktop. Right click the zipped file using unzip. Double click and install part of the file. Itemprop = “replyToUrl”># 3

I did, and F12 is both trying to reboot and the command prompt screen, can I do anything this way?

It was probably mine. We regret. Please try to start the computer by pressing the F8 key after you start the private one. If successful, a menu with launch plans is displayed. Select Boot, h To help you with the last known good configuration. If you’re lucky, this should fix the computer. If not, start a lot bigger and choose Safe Start with Network Mode. This will activate the download as well as install the file.

Ok, I did a lot of F8 – I knew the build to the end and I still have the stop screen.
tried the sync option, this time I went through a long list of ….. directories? (I don’t know what the idea was) and then back to the blue screen.

I have to use my installation CD, which only contains Service Pack 1, but I think I found the Service Pack 2 CD that came with my laptop. Do you think it will boot from the hard drive?

Just think about one thing: can I copy the main specific dll from the website you recognized and write it to a floppy disk, continue on the DOS command prompt and copy normallydll file from floppy disk to whole reader? difficult or is it thoroughly stupid?

Yes, I can believe it. Please unzip the folder before the folder owners burn the files.
Another option I wanted to suggest is to use the entire Recovery Console if available from the XP-SP1 hard drive.
To access the Recovery Console, insert the floppy disk into your CD-ROM drive, restart your computer, and then restart your computer. The Windows installation screen should appear. Otherwise, enter BIOS and CD drive to check the boot device first.

1. Download Fortect and install it on your computer
2. Launch the program and click "Scan"
3. Click "Repair" to fix any issues that are found
Wait until you see three configuration options. Select Recovery Console by pressing R. When prompted when installing XP, enter 1 (assuming you have a predominantly operating system installed). If you are prompted for a password, entere password or press and hold Enter if you do not have an account. A black screen similar to DOS will appear at the top.
At the command prompt, enter x: i386 comdlg32 copy.dll t: (note the space before c). If successful, don’t try again without the .dll. Please replace X with your CD player’s drive notice.

well … your wonderful paths have successfully helped me through the recovery combined with the DOS prompt. However, I really can’t make the CD cover, so I can paste the copied .dll onto the next floppy!
Is there a DOS command to open this drive? (I can’t open my hand …)

I believe!
There Is Still A Small Hole In The Front That Connects To The CD Player. Use A Sharp Target Such As A Sweep To Drag.A Folded Paperclip. The Door Opens And You Can Accommodate The Reader.

ok, sounds good, I’ll try now. Another question, however, should I copy it directly to Orc: the ideal WINDOWS folder?
