In the past few days, some of our users have been experiencing error code 0020 with three red LEDs. This problem occurs for several reasons. Let’s discuss this now.
Approved: Fortect
Description: This error is caused by the bridging soldering process under the CPU, GPU, or one of the RAM blocks. This effect can also be caused by steel whiskers causing a short circuit, and if the GPU is removed from the motherboard, this error is also displayed. It can also be a little power related (CPU / GPU or RAM isn’t getting enough power).
IMPORTANT NOTE. NEVER PLACE THE CONSOLE IN A FREEZER, IN COLD / HOT WEATHER, OR IN A TOWEL. THESE “FIXES” CREATE KEY PROBLEMS FROM- FOR TEMPERATURE SHOCK, BOARD CONDENSATION, curvature and overheating. YOU CAN FIND BETTER FIXES ON THE PAGE.
This page is a complete list of all branded error codes for the entire Xbox 360 console, as well as guides to fix them, if any / possible. This error code guide is by no means official and may not be 100% accurate as it was created by the community. When an Xbox 360 has a downside, a ring of light (ROL) around someone’s power button will blink in a specific way. The car model provides some insight into the problem. Some models may display numbered error codes called master codes on the screen. This error will undoubtedly help in further diagnosing the problem with your console.
Officially identified error descriptions can be found in the database Octal RROD (Officially Confirmed Errors).
Ring Of Light Error Codes
The definition of this particular malfunctioning component on the Xbox 360 depends on the number of red lights flashing around that power button.

If the red light in the bottom right corner of your Xbox 360 is usually blinking strongly, your console is also having a hardware issue. The console is of course still enabled and should display a valid error code on the screen it is actually connected to. The code starts with the letter E followed by two numbers. Detailed information on error codes can be found below on this page. The specific type of hardware failure can be identified by the error code displayed in the test. If nothing appears on the screen, or if you need more information, alternatively follow the instructions in the section below to determine the secondary error code.
Two Red Lights
If the two LEDs to the left of the console are blinking green, it could indicate a component fire hazard. Probably the fan is almost certainka works very strongly. Turn off the equipment and let cool for a few hours. To prevent this from happening again in the future, make sure your precious Xbox 360 is in a well-ventilated area and away from walls, heaters, and other devices. Alternatively, overheating can be caused by the Wii freezing or “freezing” after a while. Skips that occur at a particular point in the game are usually related to the game itself and not due to overheating. Let the Xbox 360 console cool down. You may need to wait a few hours for the console to cool down enough. Do not turn on each console when it is hot. Make sure the console has adequate ventilation and the fan is on. You can find out more about ventilation on the Care website. To avoid this inconvenience during use, the following precautions must be taken: Do not block the vents on the Xbox 360 game console, do not place the Xbox 360 wii on a bed, sofa, or possibly another soft surface that perfectly blocks out Do not place this particular Xbox console 360 in limited proa storage space such as a bookcase, a counter, maybe a stereo cabinet, unless the room is often well ventilated. Do not place the Xbox 3 console in this location near heat sources such as a radiator, radiator, oven, or amplifier.
Three Red Lights (“Red Ring of Death”)
The “Red Ring of Death” was created when everything but the perfect right corner of the ring of light flashed red. Typically, there has been a hardware failure affecting one or more components. The error message does not appear immediately because the console won’t turn on, but the game might receive a different error code from the Xbox. Most, if not all, Xbox Three Light errors on 360 consoles can be due to overheating. The most common occurrence is cold or cracked GPU solder on the motherboard. A defect in the design of the heatsink will deform the motherboard in the area around the chip, which will result in loss of contact between the chip and the user card. There are various fixes for RROD including replacing the heavily loaded terminal X, reflowing the GPU solder joint, and sometimes replacing the radiator in older cars with Microsoft’s updated Zephyr radiator. To prevent RROD from affecting the Xbox 360, keep it in a large, well-ventilated area and make sure the grilles are not blocked. If your Xbox starts to overheat, turn it off and let it cool down for at least an hour before continuing to play. You can also use an external fan to direct air through the unit.If RROD is already bothering your Xbox and your gaming system is no longer covered by a Microsoft service contract, there is still hope. Even if the game consoles do not turn on, you will receive a secondary error code. Once you’ve identified the cause of your Xbox’s RROD, you can take the necessary steps to resolve the issue. Undoubtedly, the inconvenience of Ring-Red caused by CPU or GPU is usually eliminated by installing the Ring-Red or Death-Fix kit.Try restarting your controller. If restarting the console does not solve the problem, try the following: turn off the console normally For example, completely disconnect the AV cables from the console, disconnect some of the power cords, reconnect all cables securely, and turn them on normally. If these steps do not resolve the issue, turn off the console, remove the hard drive and disk, and then turn off the console. If the red 3x error light no longer appears, turn off your console, reconnect the Hardfire, and then turn on your console. Also analyze the LEDs on the power supply. When you turn on the console, the person’s power indicator should also be green when all three lights on the ROL are flashing red.
Four Red Lights Are Blinking
The Xbox 360 A / V cable is not connected. Make sure the AV cable is securely connected to your Xbox 360 console. Connect the cable to the console or display you’re using. Disconnect its AV cable from your controller or Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to your Xbox 360 console. If the blinking red lights keep blinking, try wiping the metal area of the AV device.
Speed up your computer's performance now with this simple download.
Open the Xbox again, remove the motherboard, and remove the heatsinks from the kitchen. Clean the ground of the CPU heat sink, GPU, and two heat sinks with 91% alcohol. When you’re done, the CPU and GPU should glow like any mirror.
A good solder joint is when the board can have a constant voltage after booting – Microsoft was poorly designed and just bypassed some of the soldered golf balls under the CPU or GPU bridge. The only way to adequately address this problem is to ask someone with a large reflow station to re-melt or professionally rewrite the information technology (this takes much longer).
To fix the E74 error, we need to push the HANA / ANA memory chip.Insert the bay and DVD drive into the case first, and make another stack of coins to push through the top of the case when you turn it back on.Assemble the case permanently and slowly tighten the screws.
