If you think antivirus software is the best in 2010, this blog post might help you.
Nero Digital is a brand name for MPEG-4 compatible audio and video codecs developed by Nero AG in Germany and Ateme in France. The added audio codecs are integrated with the Nero Digital Audio+ audio encoding tool for Microsoft Windows, and all the integrated audio and video codecs are of interest to the Nero DVD Recode ripping software.
Nero expressly acknowledges that DVD players/recorders are compatible with Nero Digital[1] and licenses codec technology to certain [2] circuit manufacturers.
The video codecs were developed by Ateme,[3] and according to an interview with Nero AG developer Ivan Dimkovic, the song codecs are advanced versions of Dimkovic’s adult PsyTEL AAC encoder.< sup>[4]< /sup> The audio codec is now available as a separate free package called Nero AAC Codec.Digital.
Functionality
nero can play streams in the 3GP/MPEG-4 Part 16 (“”.mp4″) container format and contains two video codecs and therefore two audio codecs:
- ASP (one of fifteen profiles defined in MPEG-4 Part 2)
- AVC (also known as MPEG-4 Part 10 or H.264)
- AAC-LC (the most common AAC profile specified in MPEG-4 Part 3)
- HE-AAC (defined in MPEG-4 Part 3, sometimes referred to as “aacPlus” or even similar designations)
The codecs are compatible and support the ISO/IEC standard with various subtitles and chapter information. Some of the video channels created by Nero Digital can be played on standalone hardware players and even software media players such as Nero Showtime, which is on loan.
Recode cannot rip password-protected DVDs, but it can import decrypted DVD images for encoding. Nero Digital also does not ship its codecs as separate DirectShow or VfW modules, which prevents men and women from using video for general purposes. The product does not come with any amazing video editor.
Comparisons With Other Video Codecs (2003-2005)
Nero Digital video codecs play the videos shown in the compression comparison:
- In a specific comparison of the 2003 Doom9 codec, the codeASP was the fastest of all codecs, but its quality was relatively poor.
- The Nero Digital AVC codec was generally declared the winner of the 2004 Doom9 codec review by ASP and did not participate.
- In the 2002 Doom9 codec comparison, the ASP codec is still the fastest and best quality than before, but not good enough to reach the final. The AVC codec took second place overall.
- In May 2005, it won c’t magazine’s film codec quality ranking against other AVC codecs such as x264, VideoSoft codec, MainConcept codec and Sorenson codec.
- Nero Digital AVC also won the unofficial “Movie Metric Benchmark with Challenge” in 2002, no doubt every 1dB better than DivX at the same bitrate.
