There were four different versions of the K-Lite Codec Pack. Of a very small package, only the largest decoders are sufficient for a larger and more extensive package. The general differences between the options are described below. Detailed differences can be found by comparing features and comparing content pages.
These codec packs are usually compatible with Windows Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10. Older versions as well as XP.
Packages contain both 32-bit and 64-bit codecs, so they work great on both x86 and x64 Windows flavors!

2. Launch the program and click "Scan"

Tool for creating and testing Directshow graphs.
- Incredibly few ACM / VFW codecs like x264VFW and Lagarith.
This type of codecs requires the creation of some video editing / encoding applications to work with AVI files. For example VirtualDub.
These codecs They are not used or required to reproduce images.
Important Note: The K-Lite Codec Pack does not extend the import capabilities of professional video editors such as Adobe’s Vegas Movie Studio or Premiere. In many cases, these applications only support importing a small set of formats and related files, and do not support creating the codec types included in the codec pack (DirectShow / VFW). Modern publishers often only use their own built-in codecs, or only support external codecs of certain types of Media Foundation.

Provides filtering systems to control decoded audio and then video.
- ffdshow audio / video decoder
An alternative choice thanks to the LAV audio / video decoder.
- AC3Filter – Alternative to choosing LAV audio decoder.
Important note: the other filters mentioned above are not installed by default. We also do not recommend trying these outdated filters. They are only used for a small group of people who have a reason for using them To use. We strongly recommend that you use the extension decoders from the package. They are better.
Important clarification: all additional Mega features are only useful for small clubs. It does not provide the function of playing additional audio or computer formats. If you only want to read recently, the full version is for you. Mega
