The application shipped with an older version of the Btrieve input DLL (W3BTRV7.dll or WBTRV32.dll). This DLL has been fully compatible with later versions of PSQL for a long time.
The Windows properties file can display the version of the DLL (on the Version tab). In fact, the size of the DLL is pretty convincing. DLL version 9 is often 42k in size. Version 10 consists of 32k DLLs.
The DLL file used must match the Database Engine package. Use Windows Explorer to locate the w3btrv7.dll wbtrv32.dll file on the entire computer. You should find the tenth version of the DLL in the Pervasive.SQL installation folder. You can find the 45k DLL version elsewhere – most likely in the exe folder. For example, you can no doubt find the 45k version in
Note that you can also find larger types (800KB or more) in the mertech folder. These are replacement DLLs that will authorize the SQL server of your choice. Remove all 45,000 versions of the DLLs. The 32k versions shipped using V10 must be in the system PATH and therefore be found by each of our applications.

Yes, I know we are already using an old version of Pervasive v8, but for now I need to work on it. I have an internal computer accessing our database (which works great if installed on a server) and I created a web application that needs to access it as well. I watched it and worked on it day and night and couldn’t think of anything else. I’m not sure if this has to do with thirty-two applications, or perhaps permissions from a sizable webserver, or if W3DBSMGR.EXE is not running (I haven’t done anything with). .. I don’t know and I’m stuck! Any help would be worthy. Below are some of the things I’ve covered.
1. I have installed the client version on my work computer and on my server sites. It works fine in a test environment on my development machine.
2. I am using 12 iis.5.
3. Launch w3btrv7.dll. (This is definitely a problem. I have IIS to speed up 32-bit applications, not sure if that might be part of the problem.)
4. This is what psvw.log says:
