Have you just installed a printer kit ??
The message “Boot Mode” or “Waiting to Boot” appears on the screen even if the actual imageRUNNER has not been returned to Boot Mode. It can also start after installing the updated J1 Printer Kit [0446B005AA]. Turning the device on and off does not clear the message.
Updating the device to update the system software may resolve the unusual message.
Note. J1 Printer Kit [0446B005AA] includes new system software v60.02 on imageRUNNER.
