Hello, I bought a PS3 from CFW and now I don’t know how to copy games to it.
I saw that I can use a direct USB port with FAT32, but the game I need to copy has a 4.8GB file, what should I do?
lostkiwi 8 years ago, years # 1 I make MP4 backups of all the people attached to my purchased DVDs and Bluray TV shows, copy them to my PS3 and watch them from there. The problem is that some of my newer ones (from the Spartacus series) are over 4GB in size. PS3 can only read FAT32 machines and the maximum file size allowed on the fat23 drive is 4GB, which means I can’t just copy them over USB. Is there another way to find out? How to transfer files larger than 4GB to FAT32 for?So if you really want to change the file system, including FAT32, to NTFS in order to transfer a file larger than 4GB to a USB random access drive or memory stick, Windows File Explorer in Windows 10/8/7 is a handy option as it was built into the operating system and you don’t need to download it. Note. Make a backup copy of web data before formatting FAT32 to NTFS. Step 1. Read the release notes. Perhaps it is possible. Unfortunately, it is not possible to copy almost any file> 4 GB in size in a FAT32 file process. And a quick Google says your PS3 only recognizes FAT32 file systems. The only option is to use smaller documents. Maybe cut it into pieces before continuing, or squeeze it. check out some game walls: < / div> |
GoatJugSoup up to 8 # 6 I’ll just repeat different years, you are interested in 2 parts. Find a video program that can split it into 2 different MP4 or AVI files playable on PS3. Copy one of them, look at the first, then the second, go to the second. http://psnprofiles.com/meecegoatsalot |
ORANGE666 back 8 years # 7 The PS3’s internal hard drive is definitely me It is a modified version of FAT32 and can only store files of 4 GB or less. Sony has improved the FAT32 format so file fragmentation is not as good as on PC. The ntfs format is owned by Microsoft, they will not allow Sony to use them against each other on PS3. |
^ Microsoft also owns FAT32, but this company allows other companies to do so because it is still the industry standard file system. NTFS, on the other hand, is still a proprietary reporting system that only applies to Windows operating systems. Triggerfish! Ballista! Pull the trigger, that fish! |

Is there any way to copy files larger than 4GB to the PS3?PS3 can only read FAT32 devices, and the maximum file size allowed on the latest Fat23 drive is 4GB, which means I can’t just copy it over USB. Is there any other way in which, according to the experts, do they know? Please support the gaming industry, which we value very much, by deciding to play our games legally. Cut it in half. Ikuluha1 sent … I am not trying to copy split game files, nor do I recommend (see caption). This particular ending has to do with Spartacus Blood & Sand, which is a significantly larger episode than other work I’ve done, such as Dexter and Supernatural. I don’t want to see half of the first model, stop and see the rest. I’ll curl up on the couch and stare at the shards. Ok, I found a solution that works to be on top. drive.google.com/open?id=0B5TWSVWj5pU7MHdIbGh0R0xBWUU |
Files larger than 4 GB CANNOT be saved on a FAT32 volume. Formatting the stick as exFAT or NTFS will fix this problem. ORANGE666 sent …
Posts 6 and 7 of this thread seem to suspect something else: I think I think it will come out tonight. If that doesn’t work, do I just look away from Bluray way / open? Id = 0B5TWSVWj5pU7MHdIbGh0R0xBWUU |
I help to backup all my TV shows in MP4 format to DVD and Bluray and transfer them to PS3 for watching. The problem is that the link to some of my latest ones (from the “Spartacus” series) exceeds 4 GB.
PS3 can only read FAT32 devices, and the maximum file size allowed on your own fat23 drive is 4GB, which means I cannot copy it safely via USB.

Divide it in two.
Yes, I was convinced that this is an option, but it is far from the solution I was hoping for, since it cannot be sewn as quickly as on the PS3.
As far as I know, a human PS3 drive is not fat32, which means it can potentially store files larger than 4GB. The problem only arises from the transmission.
EDIT: Looks like I can configure them wirelessly using the PS3 media server. I’ll try tonight.
