I’ve looked through the menus in many different places and can’t seem to find the perfect use case for the Ghost 14 for automatic shoe repair or bootable CD. The reference directories make things easy, but honestly I can’t seem to find a way to fully downloadCD from anywhere.

I downloaded a trial version of Norton Ghost 14 and created a recovery CD. I don’t know what an auto-repair CD is.

Me too. This will indicate that the hard drive is bootable. I didn’t hear this until the semester.

The recovery CD that comes with the package, or in many cases that you can create / customize with Ghost, is a bootable CD. However, providing an “automatic” segment would require a scenario – the experts say we do not provide support or pitfalls in this environment. But it is quite possible that this can be done.

Ok, I used the wrong description. My organization asks how it worksGive the Symantec Recover Disk CD. On page 20 of the manual, it says, “In the main window of Norton Ghost, click Tasks> Create Recovery Drive and click OK, then click Next.
In the general to-do list, there is NO option marked “Create recovery disc”. This is what I mean in the region. Nowhere is there an option to “create if you want a recovery disc”.
As far as I understand, this manual process copies the required system items to a bootable CD. The problem I have is that although I can boot from the Ghost CD 14 and run the backup software, this Western Digital My Book USB backup is not being created. I was hoping that the recovery drive creation process would recognize my duplicated USB drive.

Ahh … respect for context menus! I can say that your feelings for the m button are very similar to my personal feelings for the m button.
To do this, click the button / tab on the left side of the Ghost window labeled “Home”. From the home page, you can complete Tasks | Create recovery media.
We are sorry that our team could not do a better job with this feature.

Thank you for recognizing the feelings that many Americans share!
One of the things I love about VISTA, for example, is the way the experts claim that the dashboard lists in words the tasks you might want to do, while the old classic dashboard setup gives you aThere was a certain set of characters that were a little weird to use, unless you knew what the clients were going to do!
This is why development teams should be “dumb” and not just experts ……

Thanks Johan. He was there, barely invisible! Although I didn’t specify it when adding drivers, any recovery drive I created now sees my WD USB drive on startup, and I can buy a recovery backup file. Not very useful until I can. 😉
Strange boot from a ghost disk will not necessarily result in the disk being detected. But hey, it ends well.

Is it easy to load a recovery disc (CD) with a trial version of Norton 14? could it be anything?
When I click Tasks and then Create Recovery Disk, I’m prompted to point everything to the location of the Symantec Recovery Disk – but I think it’s better not to have one?
