The enq command will automatically convert a new qconfig ASCII file
to binary format
if the binary version is missing or older than
ASCII . The binary version is located in /etc/qconfig.bin.
Note:
The qconfig file does not need to be changed if the jobs are queued
. If any sufficiently long qconfig file is changed, jobs submitted before the change
will be processed before the jobs are saved after the change.
Editing includes both manual browsing and the use of the mkque, rmque, chque,
mkquedev, rmquedev, or chquedev commands. It is recommended that all changes to the qconfig file be made continuously using these commands. However, if
manual editing is required, first run the enq -G command on the
queuing system and the specific qdaemon after all possibilities have been processed.
Then edit the qconfig file and restart the qdaemon file with a new
configuration.

I’m a big fan of AIX. It has many features that make it safer for system administrators in large environments. Despite this warning,
we will update your current qconfig files as you drive Avoid this lately

alternative in AIX Maybe CUPS Don’t add unnecessary 3rd party packages and our machines, but we’ll be doing this for so long that our tests will show that it makes the systems much more reliable or easier to manage. Perhaps CUPS is good for
interoperability.
We manually edit a copy of qconfig and a special use case to testCatch syntax errors before sending to other machines. There is a typo in the
/etc/qconfig file that causes each of the print queues to hang.
It is useful to use smitty while “mk/ch/rm” commands it.
Check for misunderstandings before updating files.< /p>
In our HACMP environment, we are constantly updating the qconfig files on both
nodes. (Our hacmp systems are configured for hot standby or
mutual backup.) In the event of a failover, *no* print jobs will be submitted
around the corner. This will require an insane amount of scripting. Luckily, we don’t really need it. If necessary, this will mean that all
/var/spool/lpd files will be placed on shared drives. For great fallback settings
this can be done by placing the qdaemon under HACMP
control. For shared takeover systems, I could try mounting the failed host’s /var/spool/lpd filesystem somewhere else and evicting the print (or reverting
and then deleting the “original”), which would cancel jobs in that print queue. emergency node

-Verify the correct AIX .txt file and the idea will print to the printer without problems.
A publish job is sent from Oracle and ends up using a print queue with a valid manual write size, but it has NO pages. So, we see that a file of 937 KB and 0 pages came in, and nothing was printed (although the print queue on the Windows server says that it was printing then).

Has anyone seen this before, or at least knows how to fix it?

What is xdebug profiler?
Well, that’s fun. That’s probably why I’m asking this question here.
Let’s start by saying that we already have an AIX host instance for our best ERP solution (Oracle). We recently considered the idea of directly sending print jobs from Oracle via AIX to a Windows printer queued on a Windows server to complete printing on the physiological printer.
