After another night of Google research and experimentation, I decided to figure out what the problem was. So in the end the AViD DNxHD codec for QT works like magic on a small machine.
It turned out that the problem with Avid is now related to the codec installers (tried with LE 2.3.7, 2.3.8, 2.3.9, very good than PE 2.3.7). You can install the latest codec files (extension * .qtx) to corrupt the directory:
So you need to manually copy / move * .qtx files from Avid to this directory and you can play / import DNxHD media files in MOV containers versus DNxHD video compression from QT to AME, PP or any other software which QT can handle.

I did Quick Action 5:46, edited with Avid Media Composer and exported as a .mov file to a 16MB USB drive. When I try to open it on my Macbook Air, Quicktime reports that the codec is simply not supported. I think it’s the DNxHD codec. How can I benefit from the game? Add to?

My app just responded from the airport:
“You should go to greedy web eyes and download the DNXHD codec and paste it into the QuickTime folder in your computer’s shared library. It is considered free. “
Hope this works and helps other people with the same question!

I shot a 5:46 low resolution movie that was edited in Avid Media Composer and exported as a .mov file to a 16MB USB stick. When I try to open it on a Macbook Personal Air, Quicktime reports that the codec is not supported either. I think it should be DNxHD codec. How can I make it play? Add to?

“You need to download the DNXHD codec for active Web Sight and then place it in the QuickTime playlist folder on your computer. It was still free. ”
