If you see a controller error detected by the Windows 7 Device Harddisk2 dr2 driver, the following guide should help you.
Approved: Fortect
The “Driver has detected a controller error” error may be a wiring error, try different connections (shorter and better). Make sure the driver you are using is rated for a high speed hard drive such as 6 Gb / s (SATA 6 vs 3). Cable miles can also be a problem. Try a shorter one.
In my 2008R2 Event Viewer, I see the following:
* Event time: February 19, 2013 2:42:19 AM
* Source: data carrier
* Event Log: System
* Type: error
* Event ID: 11
* Event users: n / a
* Drivers detected controller error on Device Harddisk2 DR2.
Internal RAID volumes, a powerful external iSCSI drive (DroboPro) and multiple USB 2.0 hard drives are connected to your I-Server. How do I know which hard disk storage solution is ” Device Harddisk2 DR2″?
Thank you in advance for your comments.
Well done,
Derek

Why does my SanDisk stick say controller error?
If the device does not behave as expected by the controller, or vice versa, this is considered a serious error. If this only happens with the entire Sandisk key, or after using the Sandisk key, the master key may simply not match the correct ad communication protocol. Something Sandisk has had problems with lately.

Click Start, right-click your computer and select Manage. Expand Storage on the left and select Disk Management. That should tell you.

Thanks for your reply. This is the first place I looked, but I don’t know how Harddisk2 DR2 compares to any of the individual drives. “DR2” = “Disk Attached 2”? this is a screenshot for your reference. Thanks again.

Where do I find DR2 in Windows 10?
However, the DR2 in the marketing error, I think, matches the sector number of table 2 or the section number. That helped? This person is an impeccable proven professional. Have you installed any RAID management software? It can also be your own journal and accurate diagnosis.

Thanks for the feedback, Rockn, LarryG. and fish sauce.
diskpart didn’t give me much useful information other than what it already provides а Disk Management Console.
I have HP RAID management software, but it is also not supported because I have so many other hard drives (USB, iSCSI) that are probably not on the internal RAID.
If you follow the link directly from the link provided by Fishsauce (below), everything seems to confirm that the CD or DVD in question is “Disc 2” which is listed under “Disk Management” as 2TB outside USB your Seagate GoFlex drive.

I’ll replace the disk and see if the error goes away.

Updates on this? I’m curious because I really feel like there was the same issue with the event log.
