Socket error 10061 is usually a connection denied but forcibly rejected. Although technically this error should appear on any version of the server connection, it mostly occurs when the user tries to connect to the Snail mail server.
Mail Socket error: Error #10061 usually tells you and me that the SMTP server rejected our connection.
Can’t connect to the service error 10061?
10061 is a winsock error, talking means the connection was refused. Contact failed because the target manufacturer was actively refusing. This usually results in an attempt to directly connect the service on an idle external host, i.e. H. One that doesn’t run any server applications.
