How do I create a kernel mode driver?
I have a Windows 2008 R2 server that needs to be able to add printer drivers without a kernel. I configured a policy group to disable this setting and made sure the registry value is currently set to two (disabled). However, when I run gpresults / v the value is 0,0,0,0 but the status is on. I found several different articles about fixes (981957 and 979559) and how to remove them. I may have found 2 other items (2160329 with 2479628) but they don’t show up on install. It still indicates that this layer is on and I cannot install your printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
