The service cannot be started.
Works with a Oracle database 11 on 2 Windows 7.
I just installed Oracle with the “just install software” option.
You have a database instance configured already . sentiment dictionary etc.
Created tsnames.ora as well as sqlnet.ora, listener.ora as below.
Before installing Oracle, I followed the instructions in the Oracle documentation
to create a loopback adapter.
It is configured to look like a motherboard according to
instructions. Name (before “gabylan” computer of a person named “P4”). I created a “hosts” file as shown, an oracle_hostname
variable, etc. You will probably see this below. I don’t know, it’s important that you comment out above the “hosts” line for “localhost”,
as it was originally.

How do I fix protocol adapter error in SQL?
Make sure the Windows service is running properly.Make sure your ORACLE_SID is set to the username of the instance you want to connect to. If one or two more are incorrect, you will get a generic error like below.

How do I fix ORA-12560 error?
Set the Oracle Procedure Identifier (SID) to C:>set oracle_sid=ORCL. Then run the Net Start query (C:>net start oracleserviceORCL). This should fix the actual ORA-12560 error in this situation.
