Overview
When you open the BlackBerry App World client on your BlackBerry smartphone, the message appears immediately after:
BlackBerry App World adds connectivity issues to the BlackBerry App World server. Check your network connections and access them again.
Root Cause
Reason 1
This can happen if your BlackBerry smartphone is using the BlackBerry Internet Service Lite service plan.
Reason 2
This can happen if your BlackBerry smartphone cannot find the BlackBerry App World service book for BlackBerry 4.0–7.0 device software.
Reason 3
BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 6.0 and 7.0 software devices with this setting may well tolerate dangerous renegotiations that have been misconfigured.
Resolution
Solution for reason 1
- Install Blackberry World 3.1 or later to use Wi-Fi as a clean connection.
- Turn on Wi-Fi on your BlackBerry mobile phone and set up a wireless hotspot connection. Contact your wireless network provider
- to upgrade your Blackberry plan.
Solution of reason 2
Note. This permission does not extendAvailable for smartphones with the BlackBerry OS 7.0.1 application. See Resolution 3 for smartphones with BlackBerry OS version 7.0.1.
In BlackBerry 4.0-5.0 device software:
- Go to Options> Advanced Options> Service Catalog. Inside, make sure BlackBerry App World [APPWORLD] exists.
For BlackBerry OS 6-7
- Select Options> Device> Advanced System Settings> Service Directory. Make sure the exact BlackBerry App World service directory [APPWORLD] exists.
Solution of reason 3
Change the setting to allow unprotected billing by doing the following:
- From the Home screen of your BlackBerry smartphone, select Options.
- Choose Security from all options menus.
- Then select Next Generation Security
- Select TLS
- by selecting the Allow Unsecured Renegotiation check box. Make sure the box is checked to enable this option.

When launching the BlackBerry App World client on my BlackBerry smartphone, the following message was actually displayed:
BlackBerry App World is having problems communicating with the BlackBerry App World server. Check your network connections and try again.
This can happen if your BlackBerry smartphone is definitely using the BlackBerry Internet Service Lite service.
This can also happen if your BlackBerry smartphone does not have a BlackBerry App World service book for BlackBerry 4.0–7.0 device software.
BlackBerry smartphones on the market with software for BlackBerry 6.0 and 7.0 devices are misconfigured that makes renegotiation dangerous.
Note. This permission is not valid for applications for smartphones with BlackBerry OS style 7.0.1. See Resolution 3 for smartphones with BlackBerry OS version 7.0.1.

Change the setting to approve insecure negotiations by following these steps:
- Buy options on the home screen of your BlackBerry smartphone
- From the Options menu, select the Security option.
- Next, including Advanced Options
- Select Security TLS
- in the Allow Unsecured Renegotiation field. Make sure the box is checked to activate the system.
- Install BlackBerry App World 3.1 or later to use Wi-Fi only.
- Always turn on Wi-Fi on your BlackBerry smartphone and connect to a huge wireless hotspot. Your wireless network provider
- contact your network provider to upgrade your Blackberry plan.

Specifically, your device information should be displayed on the Device tab when you are logged in. Once logged in, go to the Install panel and simply drag and drop your previously downloaded BlackBerry World. When you’re done, restart your BlackBerry 10 smartphone and BlackBerry World is back to work for you.
For those of you who are still using a BlackBerry Ten device or BlackBerry OS, the BlackBerry Software Application Store will not be available, but not only for two years. BlackBerry may close its BlackBerry World App Store on December 31, 2019.
