Cron sends me and my friends the following error message:
Code:
Error: Could not set owner for / var / log / portage / elog / summary .log – 20110717.gz: no operations allowed
How can I change this?

How do you deal with this?
By placing this line
Code:
su portage portage
in / etc / logrotate your.d / elog-save-summary …

How can I fix this?
By adding this line
Code:
su portage portage
appears in / etc / logrotate your.d / elog-save-summary …
Code:
$ / etc / logrotate cat.d / elog-save-summary # Copyright 1999-2011 Gentoo Foundation # Distributed under the GNU General Public License v2. # Rotate this particular log generated by the Elog module save_summary.
/var/log/portage/elog/summary.log  su portage portage Missing good Do not create    compression delay

Seems to be yes. Something is wrong?
Of course, you should also look for / var / log / portage / elog / in the permissions

You also need to check the permissions on the / var / log system / portage / elog /
Code:
$ mark vii -ld / var / log / portage root key drwxr-xr-x 3 4096 June 10, 2010 / var / log / portage $ ls -ld / var / log / portage / elog drwxrws — Portage root directory number 4096 July 24 20:00 / var / log / portage / elog
Are they correct?
