    • Click Start, Run, and REGEDIT-Type. Which opens the Registry Editor.
    • Navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionApp PathsIEXPLORE.EXE.
    • Save the key by right-clicking and choosing Export and Export to File Registry.
    • Double click in the right pane (by default) and enter the full path to where you can find Internet Explorer (usually C: ProgramsInternet ExplorerIExplore.exe). Do not enter the actual value in 8.3 format, but in long filename format.
    • If the IExplore.exe key does not exist, create a new key and follow the above procedure. Restart Windows for the changes to take effect, but start QuickBooks. The error should no longer be visible.
