You can move views from Notes databases to separate view index files.(.NDX files).
About This Task
This feature is useful for working with large databases and will soon provide the following benefits:
- Database with smaller fafile so as not to exceed the 64 GB limit.
- Faster database backup and recovery.
.NDX files are limited to 1 TB.True determination of the magnitude of thoughts is based on susceptibility to applications or the like.others if the limits are up to 1TB .NDX. can be achievedFile limit reached.
Procedure
- Enable document server transaction logging through the Domino Directory.
- Add the following notes.ini atmosphere to the IBM Domino server, restart from nowserver:
- Optional:NDX files are used by default in the Domino data directory. TOSpecify the storage location, otherwise add the correct notes.ini parameter:
NIFBasePath = Path
where path is an explicit remote relative path. A parent for a path, for exampleNIF can refer to the Domino data directory. If there is a place. is anon a mobile computing device, otherwise match the location with a government computer.
- To use this feature, databases must be ODS 51 or higher. How to upgrade some databases toAt least this version has an add-in with the following notes.in parameters:
CREATE_R9_DATABASES = 1
or
CREATE_R85_DATABASES = 1
- Activate our own function for specific databases:
To enable split index lookups on an existing database, run all of the following compact commands onServer:
Compress payload -d -nifnsf to xxxxx .nsf
Add the following to enable separate scan indexes for all databases created in the future.Notes.ini parameter:
CREATE_NIFNSF_DATABASES = 1
- Usually the server is rebooted.
More Steps
Use the following server game console command to display all databases, regardless of whether most users are using a separate view.Indexes (NIFNSF ON), in addition, if yes, to specify the .NDX fileSize:
show directory -nifnsf
Use the following server console command to transfer information only about databases thatryeindices of individual views:
show dir -nifnsfonly

To disable search engine bots for specific views in the databases that are currently in use, follow these steps:compact command on current server:
load compact -c -nifnsf off xxxxx .nsf
This highlight is especially useful for databases and has the following advantages:
- Fewer database files to avoid exceeding the 64 GB limit.
- Faster backup and restore of records.
.NDX files are limited to 1 TB.The actual determination of a practical idea of the size of views depends largely on the responsiveness of the application or other factors.the other if checks are up to 1TB .NDX. can be achievedFile limit reached.
NIFBasePath = Path
where path is a category or relative path. A parent for a process, for exampleNIF refers to the directory that uses Domino data transmission. Although the place is oftendiffers on the computer, map the location On most local computers.
CREATE_R9_DATABASES = 1
CREATE_R85_DATABASES = 1
To enable a separate view for indexes on an existing database, run the following neat and elegant command onServer:
Compact load -c -nifnsf in xxxxx .nsf
To allow separate crawl indexes for all databases that will be created in the future, specify the followingNotes.ini parameter:
CREATE_NIFNSF_DATABASES = 1
Use the following server-side technology command to display all databases, regardless of whether they are using a separate view.Index (NIFNSF status enabled), and if so, .NDX fileSize:
show directory -nifnsf
Use each of the following server console commands to pass only information about the databases thatseparate indices:
check -nifnsfonly
Speed up your computer's performance now with this simple download.
