Occasionally, your computer may display an Event ID 108 message. There may be several reasons. Failed to apply changes to software installation options. Software changes cannot be applied. CAUSE. When programs are assigned to a computer, the computer tries to connect to the software installation share using the computer’s credentials.
Well, it’s almost as boring as automatic, but surprisingly quick to fix. If you reboot some client PCs but find software that you have moved into Group Policy but haven’t installed, you are definitely in the hell of asynchronous policy processing. Check
First of all, the policy made it your test PC by opening a CMD window (remember to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR) and enter GPRESULT. Just look at your own GPO under the COMPUTER. Also check the game log on your test PC and search for Error: %% 1274
Starting with Windows Server 2003, XP and later, your clients do not wait for the network components to fully load before allowing the user to connect.Reduces startup time, but still requires TWO reboots to handle software deployments using Group Policy. Apart from that, you can also get horrible:

- Remove the GP key from the client PC registry: HKLM / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Group Policy
- Disable asynchronous policy processing by creating a new one. Create a GPO (or change an available one) with the following setting:
Computer Settings> Administrative Templates> System> Connection> Always wait for network on system startup and connection – Enabled
