K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is the latest free collection of codecs that will let you play all your video and media files on the Internet. In addition to all codecs, the package also includes Media Player Classic – Home Cinema (MPC – HC).

HDR video playback

To view these videos, you need to use this supplied MPC-HC player and select MPC Video Renderer or Madvr as the rendering engine for video recording. These video renderers can automatically send HDR metadata to your TV if the game supports HDR. Otherwise, the video colors will be converted to SDR so that you can view it on a regular monitor / TV.
Note. Currently only supportedto HDR10 format. Not Dolby Vision.
3D Video
The Codec Pack contains a dedicated decoding plug-in for 3D H.264 MVC video. To watch these videos properly, you need to use the supplied MPC-HC player (64-bit) and select Madvr as your online media renderer. To output 3D video to your monitor / TV, you need Windows 8.x / 10 (or Windows 7 with the new modern NVIDIA GPU).
Note. Plays SBS (side-by-side) and top / bottom video. 3d does not meet the above requirements. Such videos are uniquely 2D encoded as video. Your TV may have the ability to connect it to 3D.
For NVIDIA, you must be using version 418.xx or earlier. 3D-Hold has been removed in newer versions. Uses
Blu-ray
mpc-hc when playing Blu-ray discs very often. There are usually two limitations: 1) It doesn’t support Blu-ray menu. The longest book on the disc will be played automatically. Other names are available through the player’s navigation menu. 2) The disk must be decrypted, in particular, using an external toolthat. For AnyDVD HD or Passkey Lite scenario.

There are four different versions of the K-Lite all Codec Pack. From a very small package containing only the most useful decoders to a large and complete package. These codecs are compatible with Windows Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10. Older versions are also compatible with XP. Packages can contain both 32-bit and 64-bit codecs, so these people work great with x86 x64 and Windows flavors!

Is K-Lite Codec Pack free?
