Here are some simple methods that can help you fix DLL rules issue in Windows 7. Type regsvr32 name.dll at the command prompt (run in elevated mode!) And press Enter as well. Note that name.dll should be replaced with the name of the DLL you want to register. If you want to register the iexplore.dll file, enter regsvr32 iexplore.dll.

Your problem is that you simply cannot copy the file. Open the drawer again, save the controlas an administrator and do the following:
- ren c: windows system32 filename.dll c: windows system32 filename.old
- copy c: randomlocation filename.dll c: windows system32 filename.dll
If the file will be used, it must be done in safe mode, only on the command line. If you can stop your system, you can delete the copied DLL and rename the .old to .dll.

First, unregister the existing DLL file (using any / u
switch) and then register the DLL. Thus, a regular logout clears the existing settings, which often helps with new registrations as well.
