The HP Scanjet has stopped working or is not working correctly when using a USB connection. When scanning with HP Director Desktop Tools or HP Precisionscan software, you may see one or more of the following initialization errors, environments, or other symptoms:

HP reports: “Scanner failed to scan. If 24 blinks on the scanner LCD screen, the problem is usually with the TMA; see the Troubleshooting section of the scanner’s online Help. If 22 does not flash, please contact us. Contact HP Customer Support if the TMA is not connected to the scanner. “

Since the Scanjet is marked with a “!” Where “?” in this category of imaging devices.

Check Compatibility
If your code reader is not supported, you should successfully use third-party scanning and dissemination softwareSee if you can upgrade to a newer code reader that works with the Windows operating system.
Step 2. Run The Scan Utility
Download and run HP Print and Doctor to automatically diagnose and fix problems with printer components and connections.
If the problem persists, go to the next step. Three:
Step For Checking New Connections

Unplug the power cord from the scanner, wait 5 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Make sure the power cord is plugged straight into the center of the outlet and unplug any extension cords or electromechanical strips.

Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to the USB port by pointing the USB trident icon up.

Remove any docking stations, USB hubs, or ping transfer add-ons and connect the scanner directly to your computer.

Disconnect all other USB devices from the computer except the keyboard and mouse.

Be sure to try connecting the scanner to anotheron a USB port different from your computer.

Try connecting the scanner to a USB port on your computer using another compatible USB collection (if available).

Try scanning again.
Step 4. Check The System For New Resources
Make sure to use the minimum system resources.

Temporarily disable any software or program that starts automatically when the Windows operating system no doubt starts up.

Try scanning again.
Step 5. Uninstall The HP Scanjet Software

Open the control panel.
- Open and program functions or add / remove programs.

Right-click the HP Scanjet scanner software option in the list of fixed programs.

Select “Remove” or “Remove”.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation of the HP Scanjet scanner software.

Select “No” when prompted to restart computer.

Go to step 6. Reinstall the HP Scanjet software.
Step 6: Reinstall The HP Scanjet Software

Make sure you have the HP Scanjet Scanning Software Installation CD. Download the latest HP scanning software from www.hp.com/support. For recommended carriers and site links, download the link to find supported scanners in Windows 10.

Disconnect the player from the electrical outlet and the computer.

Restart your computer and wait for these computers to restart.

Insert the HP Scanning System Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive, locate the downloaded version of our own HP scanning software, and double-click it to launch the installer. This

If the installation screen does not actually open after inserting the HP Scanning Software Installation CD into the CD, click Start, click Run , enter D: setup.exe, then click OK (where D: is your CD-ROM).

If the scanning software is not installed, click Yes to restart your computer normally.
Step 7. Reconnect The HP Scanner

When the Scanjet has completely restarted the computer system, connect the scanner to the computer using this dedicated USB cable.

Plug the power cord of most scanners into an electrical outlet.

Wait until this scanner is recognized and the scanner autopilots are rebooted.

If a real computer does not recognize a surgical scanner that is otherwise connected via USB, serial, or parallel port, specificallyThis problem is usually caused by outdated, unsafe, or incompatible device drivers. Worn, broken, or faulty cables can also interfere with human recognition of scanners.
Turn off someone else’s product, turn it back on, and click Restart Computer. Typically, if the problem persists, applications that use this service, such as Microsoft Paint, will not be able to scan efficiently. HP Software Application Integration may still work.
A missing or outdated scanner driver can interfere with the HP scanner. You really should update your scanner driver regularly. There are two ways to update your scanner driver: manually and immediately. Launch Driver Easy and click Scan Now. Then Driver Easy will scan your computer and find any problematic drivers.
