I just bought a new Visiontek 2600 graphics card from Dell using the Recommended Hardware Upgrade feature based on my day. My computer is Dell Dimension Gen XPS 4. 4GB RAM, card has been replaced. The original card is returned, the second does the same.
(Please do not close this discussion as this is your Dell recommended graphics card)
Usually connects to 1 when I turn on the devicedirectly, I get the message:
Break the parity of the I / O card using letters / numbers like (S) hutoff NMI (R) eboot, other keys continue S, R
Print or maybe the key doesn’t even work. Then I turn off my computer, flip it over, and the machine starts up. Sometimes assuming that I start with the sensor turned off and then turn it back on after a few seconds, less often after turning it on, my chances are 8 times at first. I updated their BIOS to the latest version for this model and changed some settings. I found that restarting rarely causes this problem. This is almost the same graphics card, consuming almost all the power it can only get at startup. Go for a slower boot option, why not get a 1 out of 10 boot. I’ve read several washing machines that have updated newer BIOS versions that have now fixed the problem. Unfortunately, the last BIOS update was a year ago. All I read about this error is that the machine in question is ALWAYS a DELL machine. It is not very pleasant to start with additional procedures on and off required for cleaning. All thoughts are appreciated. DELL Please correct this problem as it is a DELL problem. This seems like a common occurrence for owners upgrading their graphics cards. there was a graphics card recommended when upgrading from DELL via the service point feature.
