Starting your Windows XP computer in Safe Mode can help you diagnose and fix almost any serious problem, especially if startup is usually possible.
Press F8 In Front Of This Windows XP Start Screen
Just before the custom Windows XP Start screen (see above) appears, press F8 to display the Windows Advanced Menu .
Choose An Interesting Option For Windows XP Safe Mode
Ideally, you should now see the Windows Advanced Settings menu screen. If not, you may have missed a short time to press F8 from step 1, and therefore Windows XP will likely continue with help to help you start if possible … If so, just reboot Start the electronic computer and try pressing F8 again.
Here are three Windows XP Safe Mode options that you can enter:
- Safe Mode is the default and usually works best. This mode loads only the absolute minimum of processes required to start Windows.

Select The Operating System To Boot
Windows needs to know the operating system installation that you want to start successfully. Most users only have one installation of Windows XP, so the choice is usually considered an obvious one.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate operating system, press and enter.
Wait For At Least Windows XP Files To Load
the system files required to run Windows XP will now be loaded. Any manually loaded recording will be displayed on screen display.

To use Safe Mode, you must be logged in with an administrator account or a Myspace poker chip with administrator rights.
Then you can press Windows + R, type cmd and force press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run the CMD job as administrator. Enter the command net start msiserver in the Command Prompt window and press Enter to activate Windows Installer in Safe Mode in Windows 10.
On the PC pictured above, our personal account, Tim, and the built-in administrator account have administrator rights, so each of them can enter Safe Mode.
If you are not only sure that one of your personal accounts has administrator rights, select the administrator account and then enter the password.
Continue To Enable Windows XP Safe Mode
Typically, if you see the Windows Running in Safe Mode dialog above, select Yes to enter Safe Mode.
