How do I fix an error detected by an invalid hardware driver?

In the past few weeks, some users have come across an error message that says a detected issue is caused by an invalid hardware driver. Several factors can cause this problem. Let’s discuss some of them below.

Invalid Hardware Or Driver Detected

I am using GTX 780.

I just log out of fsx and this message was waiting for me on this main screen. It was in a tagged package

Invalid – golf hardware or driver found

this video card does not meet the minimum requirements for shader support. This product requires a high end geforce3 / radeon8500 or graphics card

Nvidia stated that

There really is nothing you can do about it, many classic games have a point where they have a list of all recognized graphics and whether they are supported or not. In a few years, new graphics cards will be installed, and not all software will be able to recognize them correctly, because the exact software has not been programmed to recognize them.

Basically you don’t need to change / fix anything, it’s just the result of outdated technology on the FSX side.

This can certainly happen if the integrated graphics card is not properly disabled and the fsx can be written to use (or attempt to use) fairer than the GTX 780.

This can happen if the still integrated graphics card has not been successfully disabled and fsx is using it instead of the GTX 780 (or is finally trying to use it).
