How do I upgrade a kernel to a specific version?
Step 1. Check your current kernel version. In a terminal window, enter: uname –sr.Step 2: Update the repositories. Enter the following into your terminal: sudo apt-get update.Step 8: Update. While you are still in Terminal often, enter: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.

What is kernel uek devel?
Starting with UEK-3.8-QU2, the kernel-uek-headers package is no longer created or distributed. The kernel-devel and kernel-uek-devel packages provide the kernel headers, that is, the makefiles you need to build UEK and RHCK-based modules.

What is kernel-devel and kernel headers?
Be aware of this issue, however, if certain versions of headers do not actually exist in the repositories. You may need to navigate to koji to find a specific version of the version.
