VPNs have evolved from a forgotten way to connect to private networks on the Internet. While VPNs initially became popular, they saved businesses the cost of connecting networks dedicated dedicated lines. Even so, VPN connections have problems from time to time. There are many methods you can use to troubleshoot VPN connections.

What’s The Problem?
There are four types of problems you face when using Connections VPN. These VPNs include:
- The connection was refused.
- Accept unauthorized connection.
- Unable to access non-VPN locations and new server.
- Unable to create a tunnel.
1: VPN Connection Refused.
Patient VPN failure to connect is perhaps the most common VPN problem. Undoubtedly one of the reasons your problem is so common is that there are many problems that can easily lead to a connection failure. If the VPN server refuses to allow the client to access the Internet, you must first practice to make surethat all routing and remote access services are trained. You can check this by launching the Server Control Panel and clicking the appropriate administration tools icon and then the services icon.

After confirming that the required actions are being taken, test the connection to the VPN web server using the VPN patient’s IP address. First you need to enable Ping over IP so that you can verify that there is a very simple TCP / IP connection. If it is marked as “successful ping”, check the connection to the server again, this time using the server’s fully qualified domain name (FQDN) rather than the one generated from its address. That is, if the ping fails from which the IP address was pinged successfully, you will get a DNS issue because the client will probably not be able to resolve the server name if you want to use the IP address.
Check The Authentication You Probably Went Through
Once it has been determined that a suitable TCP / IP connection exists between the VPN client and the server, and that name resolution is working correctly, the next step is to verify the authentication process. KaAs you may know, there are many different methods for testing VPN connectivity. The VPN client and VPN website must have at least one common authentication mode.
You will most likely check which products the VPN server has configured to use by entering the MMC command in all startup requests. When you do, Windows will open a blank Microsoft Management Console learning session. Now select the Add Remove / Snap In command from the console menu. When you see the add / remove binding properties on the sheet, click the Add button on the Standalone tab. In fact, this discovery includes a list of available add-ons. Select Routing and Remote Access from the distribution list and click the Add button followed by the Close and OK buttons.
The Routing and Remote Access snap-in should now be added to the console. Right click on your VPN server number and select all Properties from the navigation shortcut that appears. The server properties document opens. Select the Security tab and select multiple authentication methods. As a resultWindows displays a dialog box with almost all of the available authentication methods. You can easily enable deactivation or authentication methods by checking or unchecking the respective checkboxes.
How client-side authentication is verified depends on the user’s operating system. For the Windows XP approach, right-click the VPN connection and make a decision using the Properties command from the context menu that appears. Will this open the speaker’s desktop sheet? Now select the Security tab on the property page, select the Advanced radio button and click the Options button to display the specific authentication method available.
I generally prefer to implement Windows Authentication in VPN environments, but RADIUS is also a popular choice. If someone is using RADIUS authentication, you need to make sure that the client supports RADIUS and that the VPN server has no problem communicating with the RADIUS server.
Additional Information To Check Directly
If the authentication methods are available correctly, the next step is toStudy of the technology that a client can use to connect to a VPN server. If the client connects to the server instead of connecting over the Internet, the remote Rider may not have connection permissions. You can check the permissions by viewing the Active Directory Users and Computers pane on the Incoming Call tab of the client properties or by viewing the domain’s remote access policy. It would also be a good idea to make sure that the user really knows how to set up most VPN connections and can correct the username and password.
It may sound like this, but it’s obvious that if your domain is likely to be running in Windows 2000 native mode, your preferred VPN server should be a domain client. If the VPN computer hasn’t joined the domain, it still won’t be able to authenticate connections. See also

The network configuration was changed (i.e. the IP of the internal server was changed, the dynamic Internet IP was changed, the 8082 connection was blocked, etc.). Your own firewall is blocking the connection (e.g. Windows firewall on server or borrower, third party firewall, router firewall).
