You can help the Oakley Log view information about the IPSec Security Association (SA) configuration procedures. The Oakley protocol can be fully enabled through the registry or by selecting the optional logging and remote access data transfer package on the Logging tab of the VPN server properties; Oakley Logging is used by default and is never enabled. To use the Windows registry to enable Oakley logging, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services PolicyAgent Oakley EnableLogging registry key must be set to the maximum value of 1 (REG_DWORD). The EnableLogging key does not exist by default and must be created.
When activated, the Oakley log, which is stored in the SystemRoot Debug folder, documents all IPsec SA negotiations. A new Oakley.log file is generated each time the IPSec Policy Agent is started, and the first version of the Oakley.log file is logged for Oakley.log.sav. In this case, you should turn off Oakley logging after you have actually finished scanning. otherwise, you will end up wasting valuable resources. A bit of Oakley Music Log is usually found on the attached There is a CD that you can use to really compare to yours.
To enable another EnableLogging registry entry after changing the value, you must stop and start the IPSec Policy Agent and its associated IPSec services by running the following sequence of commands:
1. Stop the Routing and Remote Access service with the command to stop remote access to the website.
2. Stop IPSec using the net stop policyagent command service.
3. Start the IPSec services using the net policyagent command.
4. Start routing and remote access to services using the net begin remoteaccess command.
