Fixed Core Powertop Panic

 

Over the past few days, some of our users have been encountering a powertop kernel panic error code. This problem occurs for a number of reasons. Now let’s talk about some of them.

If in mythe system has been loaded with the r8192se_pci module, starting powertop will cause the next kernel panic.

If I manually unload the module using ‘modprobe -r’, I can start Powertop without any problems.

When you say "really upstream" do you mean that the module should be open complex?Added kernel source? I really doubt they are helpful.
