Hello
I am still encountering event code 3 in the syslog on my Dell WIN2k3 R2 SP2 server where the specific error is: Kerberos error code: 0x7 KDC_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN … Strange
The point is who the server and the target are, except that the server name appears as server.domain.org and the target name appears as [email protected] Is this additional @ domain.org a mystery or is it true and the problem is different?
If this is a problem, how can I fix it?
THANKS Mike

Hi Mike,
This issue can occur if the SPN has not been defined for a specific member name ka-services. See Solutions in this section0x7 – KDC_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN from the following product on the market to resolve the issue:

- 1. Download Fortect and install it on your computer
- 2. Launch the program and click "Scan"
- 3. Click "Repair" to fix any issues that are found
This error slogan does not tell us which service is causing the problem frequently. How do I know which SPN delegation to use for an account if I don’t know which service or application pool is causing this problem? Guilt ?

Great, I found a duplicate SPN from setspn -X and with ASIDIEDIT.

Hello
I keep seeing event ID 3 in the syslog of my new Dell WIN2k3 R2 SP2 server with the following error: Kerberos error code: 0x7 KDC_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN. Weird
The thing is, the internet hosting server and destination are the same, except that the server name appears mostly as server.domain.org, only the destination name is displayed [email protected] Is the additional @ domain.org a problem or would it be correct and the problem will be investigated elsewhere?
If this is a problem, how do you fix it?
THANKS Mike
